Hab 2:4 “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” Rom 1:17 “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Gal 3:11 “But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.” Heb 10:38 “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”
All of these verses from the Old and then the New book have something in common, what is it? Real tough question, huh? Today I am moved in my spirit to share, ‘How to live by faith’
What is Faith? Faith is making real what cannot be seen or sensed with our limited human abilities. Heb 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Living by faith will take our lives out of the natural and into the supernatural. I know this because I have seen and felt the wonder that is God in many ways. Surely you have too!
Faith is standing on God’s integrity and acting on His promises. It involves believing God’s Word above all human doubt, criticism, or speculation. We must learn to trust our heavenly Father every step of the way.
Living by faith is the most exciting life anyone could ever know. Faith is not something we simply exercise at salvation and forget about. It is a lifelong process of spiritual growth. Faith is taking God at His Word no matter how bleak the circumstances appear to be. It is believing in His love and His character more than in human reason.
Let us all discover the beauty of a rich full life “Lived in Faith!”
