With God there is always a way out

In 2007 my family was driving north from Georgia in route to Massachusettes taking our daughter to college. The Interstate passes through Virginia and West Virginia which includes the Appalachian Mountains. We saw a bunch of these runaway truck ramps. The highway drops what seems like nearly a thousand feet over only a few miles. The rapid descent along with the road’s winding course no doubt creates opportunities for drivers, especially truck drivers.

Just as a runaway truck needs an escape route from a highway, we also need “a way out” when adverse desires threaten our spiritual well-being. When we face outward or even selfish temptations, we can rest knowing God will make a way of escape, in which we can to bear the challenge. God enables us to say “no” to enticement through the power of the Word. God in flesh overcame

Satan’s temptation relating to food, authority, and trust by quoting verses from Deuteronomy. Scripture is there to help us resist the devil despite the effects of obstacles or temptation.

When we are tempted, we may feel like disaster is just around the bend. Thoughts of past failure and isolation from others can intensify this feeling. However, we can trust God in moments of temptation. The Lord is faithful. God will provide a way for us to resist sin’s wide net.

The best way to escape temptation is to run to God.

Please share how God has provided a way out in your life. Your gracious share could touch another. Plus, I will write you back.

See you next Sunday,
