God keeps promises

Back when the financial crisis hit globally, the American governing body wrote policies with stronger laws to protect citizens from loose banking practices. Thus, lending institutions had to change most of their policies to comply.

The "Rainbow" represents God's promise to us.

However, to let me know of the changes, lenders sent out letters. When people got to the end of the letters, most had more questions than answers. When you read sentences with statements like “we may” and “at our discretion”, these don’t sound like promises a person could depend on.

With God there is a distinct difference in the promises held within the written word. In the books of Samuel and 2 Chronicles, God states to David and through King Solomon the true steadfast nature of the Lord. “I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever”.

We don’t see any uncertainty in those words. “You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand”. A few hundred years later even Paul the apostle said that all of God’s promises are “yes”. This is the promise of God which may be found in 2 Corinthians.

While we live in a world of uncertainty, our trust may rest in a faithful God who always keeps promises.

Please share how God has kept a promise in your. Your gracious share could touch another. Plus, I will write you back.

See you next Sunday,
