Faith must be tested to grow

Have you ever wondered why we have trials and tribulations? Oh, excuse me, let me be more plain. Why we have problems and troubles? Why is it we can’t go through life riding high on success and joy? It certainly wouldn’t hurt my feelings to never bump my head or be told go do that again.

Allow your faith to be tested and grow a truly closer walk with God.

Well, in the book of Romans we discover God wants us tested in order to grow our faith in the Lord. In fact, it is only through our struggle do we learn to lean on the promises of God. When we do lean on God, we come to rejoice in the challenges which come our way.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Rom 5:3-5

Isn’t this wonderful news? Everyday the very hope which lives in our hearts can grow as we learn to trust more in God which will develop our very character. Every day we trust our trials, tribulations, problems and troubles to God, the better we are as people.

In faith we can serve others better. We can teach better. We can share the scriptures better. We can be an example of the true essence of the Lord in our day to day living. As we preserver trusting in God to cover us, our faith can grow from little to great. Our faith can grow from average to outstanding. From “I can do it” too, “God can do it all”!

Please share with me any example of how you trusted in God through a problem and the result for you was a greater faith in the Lord.

See you next Sunday,
