Passion for life

Over the past few weeks we’ve all been in the graduation season. Students of all different kinds of disciplines from high school, college and grad school have prepared diligently to make their mark on the world.

My eldest daughter traveled home to be with the family as we attended her baby sister’s high school graduation. As we drove to the graduation site my eldest daughter shared with energy and passion the new dental procedures and techniques she has been studying and practicing. The sheer speed, pace and cadence at which she described restorative dental examinations in detail was stunning to watch. Her passion was obvious.

In our individual lives we should all strive to have a passion for an intimate relationship with God. The same way we pursue our chosen endeavors for income, sport and leisure should be duplicated to passionately seek God.

How do we develop a daily walk where God is first in our actions, word and deeds? For many of us a passionate pursuit is ongoing. We worship individually and collectively. We give of our time, talents and resources.

However, we always have more we can do. Certainly we can share the word with others who know God, but more importantly with those who don’t. How beautiful it is to see the light go on in some ones eyes as they discover the loving healing message God has for all his children.

Let your passion for God show where ever you can, but bring as many people with you as you can!

What do you have a passion for? How does God show up in your passion? Leave me a Comment. I’d love to hear from you.

See you next Sunday
