Wonderfully Loved

My grandmother “Carrie Barnes Davis” was one of the greatest influences in my life. Throughout my adult years, her image in my mind is like a portrait on the mantle to remind me of her unconditional love. I really do believe that she helped me learn how to love.

My grandma, Carrie Barnes Davis

We all have not had the same taste of personal, family or befriended love, however through God each of us can experience being wonderfully loved. In the book of John, the word love occurs over 25 times, and God’s love is noted as the source for you, me and everybody in chapter 4. “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His gift to be the propitiation for our sins”. “We have known and believed the love that God has for us”. “We love Him because He first loved us”.

I believe God’s love is more than we can imagine or even hold in our minds eye. It is greater than the vision of a rushing stream. God’s love is broader than oceans of water flowing from His heart into ours. Know whatever our family background or experiences in life, whether we feel well-loved by others or not, we can know love. We can draw from the Lord’s inexhaustible source to know His loving care for us. And as such, we can pass it on to others.

Nothing is more powerful than God’s love!

Please share how you know God’s love. Your gracious share could touch another. Plus, I will write you back.

See you next Sunday,

MJ
